Sometimes we see someone who clearly needs some kind of help. Sometimes the problem is clear to us, and we know how to solve it.
Who has never offered a kind word and felt better than the person who received it? Or received a comforting word from a stranger? Frooid was created with those people in mind.
Interact with users who need help or who care about doing something for others. How can we take part? By interacting and sharing some of our experiences.
Purpose
Frooid was created to be a link between people seeking some kind of psychological support, with the intent of encouraging improvements in Gross National Happiness through peer counseling, coaching and even psychological counseling by specialized professionals.
Market
Supporting people seeking psychological support; developing people through coaching, training and psychological treatment; creating chat groups and a network of trained professionals to improve the quality of life of people around the globe.
How it works
Interaction on Frooid is focused on solving problems. It happens through posts (messages, videos and images) and in real time, through chats and rooms. Everyone sets their photo and profile background according to their mood, choosing between textures and images.
When an interaction between two people starts, the person being helped rates the other user from 1 to 5 points. The helper earns points and medals that correspond to ranks: First Steps, Counselor, Guide, Mentor and Guru.
There are also group discussion rooms, online lectures on human and spiritual development, where participants see and hear the speaker and ask questions by text, and online sessions with professionals. For those who need professional help, Frooid locates specialists in their area.
